Water, the sky, and especially living things like people and animals are challenging subjects and I like a challenge. These pieces pictured come from a process of searching the reefs for live shells because I want to capture the animal in its full glory instead of what is left of it’s remains. Carefully, I pluck the creature from its foot hold, avoiding any toxic barbs, snap a few quick pictures for reference, then return it to its home. The animal is perhaps a bit annoyed but otherwise undisturbed. The finished products have been very popular and sell quickly. But I am always on the hunt for new creatures to briefly molest before immortalizing as new artwork. Please see my inventory page for availability of originals.
